Natural food preservatives such as glycine, sodium acetate or lysozyme are antibacterial agents that are shown to be effective against various bacteria and are highly safe for the human body. In addition, α-cyclodextrin (α-CD) has been found to have the effect of lysing a part of the cell membrane of bacteria. In this study, we investigated the synergetic antibacterial effect with the combination of α-CD and natural preservatives against Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) and Porphyromonas gingivalis (P.gingivalis). |
