論文概要（和文）	マンゴスチンに含まれるキサントン類の一つであるα-マンゴスチンは、強い抗酸化作用や抗がん作用、抗炎症作用などを持つことが報告されている。しかし、α-マンゴスチンは水への溶解性が低いことがわかっており、体内への吸収性が低いことが課題となっている。シクロデキストリン（CD）は包接により脂溶性物質の水溶性や吸収性を高めることができ、食品や医薬品分野で広く利用されている。そこで本研究ではα-マンゴスチンの水溶性や経口吸収性の向上を目的としてα-マンゴスチンCD包接体を調製し、水溶性および吸収性の指標となる食後人工腸液への溶解性を評価した。
論文概要（英文）	α-Mangostin, one of the xanthones in mangosteen fruit, has been reported to possess health benefits such as strong antioxidant, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory effect. However, the bioavailability of α-Mangostin is very low due to its poor solubility in water. In this study, we prepared α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrin (CD) complexes of mangosteen pericarp extract containing α-Mangostinand evaluated their solubilities in water and in fed state simulated intestinal fluid (FeSSIF). As a result, the highest solubility of α-Mangostin in FeSSIF was observed by complexation with α-CD, suggestingthat α-Mangostin-α-CD complex is expected to improve absorption in the body.
