Monochlorotriazinyl β-cyclodextrin (MCT-CD) is a reactive CD derivative produced in industrially, for functionalization of textiles. The desired storage condition of MCT-CD is in freezer to keep their reactivity. However, storage in freezer is not economical, and therefore, MCT-CD is usually kept under room temperature or in refrigerator leads to gradual decrease in the degree of substitution (D.S.) of MCT-CD in few years. In this research, we evaluated the decrease in D.S. of MCT-CDs stored at 10 or 25℃ (Fig. 1) to confirm the utility on textiles industry. |
